CommonRoom at the Hepworth Wakefield Print Fair

On the 25th and 26th March, CommonRoom had the pleasure of setting up shop at the Hepworth Wakefield Print Fair, an exhibition from artists and makers across the UK, in the gallery's newly renovated event space, Tileyard North.

Works included linocut prints, woodcuts, screen-prints, textile design and more - and we felt very lucky to be there not only to promote our limited edition print series from our roster of contemporary artists, but to talk all things design, art and wallpaper with our fellow stallholders and the steady stream of attendees. To those we met, thank you for coming along, stopping by for a chat and flicking through our pattern book - we were really inspired by the conversations we had, and it was great to be able to spread the word to like-minded people.

We would highly recommend a trip to the gallery itself: it's one of the country's best, with incredible pieces from Hepworth herself, Henry Moore, and currently, a breathtaking, cinematic photography exhibition, 'In Real Life' by Hannah Starkey.

All in all, a wonderful weekend, and a great reminder that from risk-taking comes great reward, and it's always worth it to push creative boundaries and get stuck into the conversation.
