Zoe Gibson

Zoe Gibson (b. 1995, based in Dundee) is a Dundee based visual artist whose works combine sculpture, filmmaking, installation, mural painting and drawing. She explores themes of memory, myth, grief and domesticity and is inspired by folk art, festival, ritual and the Scottish landscape. Her practice is underpinned by a belief that art should be a deeply enmeshed part of everyday life and surroundings.

Zoe graduated from her undergrad at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 2017. She recently completed her first solo show, ‘DAILY DANCE!’ at Generator Projects. In 2021 she was shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf drawing prize. She has collaborated with Hospitalfield House for its summer 2022 programme, working with 400 children to create a sculpture of a giant fish titled The Fish of Knowledge. Her work Eclipse appeared in the Hidden Door Festival in 2023. She devised a performance piece Celestial revel for Collective Gallery in 2023.

She is currently studying for her Masters in drawing at DJCAD.

Zoe has designed the Solstice collection for CommonRoom.
