282 Ways of Making a Salad ~ James Ferris
James’ design takes its title from a 1950s book of celebrity salad recipes. James was having an artistic crisis. He said, ‘There are just too many ways of making a salad’. On the same subject Oscar Wilde wrote, ‘To make a good salad, is to be a brilliant diplomatist; the problem is entirely the same in both cases – to know exactly how much oil one must put with one’s vinegar.’ James believes it is the same with wallpaper. The design needs to have just the right balance of grit and wit.
Samples are A4 size and measure 21 x 30 cm. They come folded in half.
