Anna Chapman Parker

Anna Chapman Parker (b. 1978, York) studied Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh, and gained an MA from Wimbledon College of Art, London. Her work is concerned with immersive experiences of looking, often using drawing to explore our relationship with wild plants in the context of contemporary ideas around digitalism, attention, the body and environmental fragility.

Anna’s recent exhibitions include Sonikebana, commissioned by Edinburgh College of Art for Edinburgh Art Festival; Imprints: Art Edits Modernism at Shandy Hall, Yorkshire; and I sat till I could see no longer at Fife Contemporary Arts, St Andrews. Her writing has been published in MAP magazine, Rake’s Progress and Happy Hypocrite. Her first book, Understorey, will be published by Duckworth Books in June 2024.
