The timeless blue and red dashes recall the simple pleasure of sending and receiving something tangible, when the world was slower, and messages were delivered by human hands. The reds and blues of the airmail envelope, traditionally colours of political opposition, remind us to be bold, while considering those both geographically and ideologically far away. Pan Am arranges Kate’s hand-painted red and blue dashes into a striped border. Graphic and playful, its repeating lines can frame a room, pick out architectural details or add a dash of pattern and colour to a wall.
